Wine Course

Here at our vineyard in Saint-Jean-de-Serres just 25 minutes from the city of Nimes we have recently completed the building of a new state of the art cellar where we can supervise our own wines and sell direct to customers. This facility also allows us to run Special wine courses, using the technology and knowledge at hand for the pleasure of wine lovers. The courses are run by professional wine makers & we also have food demonstrations presented by a local chef.

The subjects covered are:

Viticulture: The day to day work to the vine; this could include some work experience depending on the time of the year.

Oenology: The Science of wine making.

Wine appreciation: Tasting wines at different stages of maturity, understanding the different tastes derived from each grape varietal.

Food & Wines: The art of matching food and wines, the use of wines in making sauces, wine vinegars. This course will be held in our kitchen in the Cévennes. Also available, the different use of Olive oil and experience the different varieties available and some history.

Legal aspects of the wine industry: such as regulations regarding bottling and labelling. The rules governing the A.O.C, Vin de pays and Table wine. The lack of control in using additives.

The course will be held at our Vineyard in The Languedoc and the food demonstration will be held in our kitchen nearby and tutored by a top chef.

Course Costs: The costs of the course includes all food, wines, accommodation, travel within the region, transfers to and from airport or train station.

5 Days   - Thursday to Tuesday  : €550.00   or    7 Days   - Saturday to Saturday : €690.00

Wine Tour

Languedoc - 6 days

Six days in the Languedoc wine producing region visiting the vineyards and the towns of the departments of Gard and Hérault and meeting with the winemakers. This under valued region produces outstanding World class wines. There will be morning walks, meetings with the winemakers in the vineyards and a special shopping trip on Saturday morning to the famous market in Uzès plus a day trip to the Rhone valley visiting vineyards in the Chateau neuf duPape & Gigondas regions .

The accommodation is organised for you. It includes dinner & also accommodation nearby
